PRAY CENTRAL
FLORIDA
Dear
Fellow Prayer Warrior, January,
2006
Greetings in the name of the Lord. If you
have not already done so, I want to encourage you to spend some quality time
with the Lord and get His priorities and assignments for the new
year.
Last month we shared some
words John Mulinde gave when he visited us. This
month I read some similar thoughts from Pastor Jackson Senyonga,
also from Uganda and also on the Transformations video. He thinks we are “next
in line for revival” but have some major adjustments to make first. The following
is from Pastor Senyonga’s e-mail newsletter to the
American Church. “America it is time to
rearrange your priority. You need to want God because of who He is and not what
He can do. It is time to earnestly seek God and make supplication. The missing
ingredient in American prayer is desperation. God is not a lip-reader but a
heart reader – how will my approach to Him look? When I come to Him, what will
He think of me? America, you need to pray desperate prayers. The government is
trying to make you non-desperate – just to remain comfortable. Transformation
is not automatic, it requires ready people, hungry
people. Uganda has been transformed in 3 key areas: politically, in the
marketplace and in the church world. This can happen in America but are you
ready to purify your hearts as Job 8:5-7 says? Give up your casual prayers and
get desperate – God is ready.” Pastor Senyonga’s
e-mail is jackson_senyonga@surewest.net.
It’s been great to see more
Christian movies out recently. End of The Spear
opens January 20th and is the story of the New Tribes missionaries
killed by Indians in Ecuador. It looks like a quality production and of course
the story is great. The web site (with trailer) is
www.endofthespear.com.
Florida Marriage Amendment Update –
urgent prayer and action needed!
A
constitutional amendment that defines marriage in Florida as being between one
man and one woman would protect that definition from activist judges. There is
a petition drive underway to get that amendment placed on the ballot for the
next election. Time is getting short and we need hundreds of thousands more petitions.
There is no candidate involved so churches are free to say whatever they want
about this issue. Many churches are passing out the petitions in the service
and collecting them with the offering or as the people leave the service. You
can download a copy of the petition or get more information on the Florida for
Marriage web site - www.florida4marriage.org.
Please note: Monday January 23rd is the deadline for mailing in the
petitions – it is almost too late! Volunteers are also needed to process the
petitions and make phone calls – call 407-251-5130 for info.
Purpose Driven Life – 10,000 groups forming all over
Central Florida
Rick Warren was at the TD
Waterhouse in November (along with a crowd of 10,000) to cast and fuel a vision
for thousands of small groups going through the Purpose Driven Life at the same
time. Hosts will gather believers and unbelievers in small groups throughout
the Orlando area to fellowship and look at "what on earth am I here
for?" After a 40-day study, they will join hands to reach out to friends
and neighbors through the Orlando Festival with Luis Palau. The groups will
begin meeting the week of February 12th. To get involved, call
407-894-4282, or visit www.purposeorlando.com.
Luis Palau Orlando Festival prayer strategy
and prayer points
There will be a big prayer
rally February 28th and a 40 day prayer calendar (which you will receive with
your Pray Central Florida newsletter when it is ready) but the ongoing prayer
format is shifting to many prayer clusters all over Central Florida. The leader
of each cluster will receive periodic prayer updates to share with the group.
If you would like to lead or join a prayer cluster in your area please call Pastor
Mark Daniel’s office at 407-846-8300. We have set up a “Blog”
on the Pray Central Florida web site (www.christiansnet.com/praycf/praycf.htm)
to record words from the Lord or prayer direction for the Festival.
Please e-mail submissions to George at praycf@juno.com.

Prayer points for the Luis Palau Orlando Festival:
1) The budget – there has
been a good response so far but still a long way to go.
2) The organizing team – pray a hedge of protection
around them, many are experiencing intense spiritual warfare. Also pray for
wisdom, favor with governmental agencies, businesses and churches, and strength
to keep doing their jobs with zeal.
3) That God’s church would
have His heart for the Greater Orlando area
4) That the church would come
together in unity during this time
5) That this would not be the
end, but the beginning of unity and transformation in our community

Your assistance is needed...would you help us to mobilize a "Call for Intercession for the
Florida4Marriage.org effort" ?? Whether
or not you are in the State of Florida, this is a Pro-Family issue that needs
our prayer support. We would appreciate your help in getting this message
out as an "ALERT" to your intercessors and prayer warriors
in the next few days...AND as an invitation to join us on Tuesday, January
31, 2006 to pray.
We have 29 Days Left
Florida Marriage Amendment Update –
Urgent prayer and action needed!
As we acknowledge the importance of prayer in our efforts. May we ask for your prayer support and action?
As the Lord would provide favor needed to get the word
out, we praise His Name...
The Lord said in Zech. 4:6,
"This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel
(www.florida4marriage.org) 'Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of
hosts."
As we acknowledge our situation...we must join the Israelites in
assessing our situation. As the Israelites looked at their impossible
situation and realized their poverty, inability and weakness to meet the need,
God's word came to them and God said that what was going to be done and what
was needed was going to be done by God's Spirit's working. There will be times when God's will, leads you
into impossible situations. If you look at your own resources, skills,
and knowledge you will be discouraged but you have the resources of heaven at
your disposal...by God's Spirit. The success of our
endeavors will not depend on the way we use your resources, but on how we obey
the Spirit of God.
We acknowledge our need for
and ask for a miracle here in the State
of Florida,
May He show Himself
and make His Name strong!
A petition drive is underway to get a constitutional
amendment to protect marriage here in Florida that would
define marriage as being "One Man and One Woman"... we
are in need of your urgent prayer and action!
Time is getting short, the need is
for 611,009 signed petitions. In
nineteen states across America, people of all races, creeds and religions have
spoken clearly by amending their state constitutions with overwhelming
majorities to defend marriage. Florida citizens also wish to amend our
constitution to define marriage and protect it. Thank you for your prayer and support to protect marriage
here in Florida. For more info on our efforts you
can visit www.florida4marriage.org
In an effort to involve as many intercessors as
possible, we are contacting groups such as yours...To challenge
our prayer warriors and intercessors to pull into this prayer effort.
In an effort to strategically have prayer coverage for the last few hours of
our petition drive we are inviting other to join us in praying. We
are seeking the Lord's divine intervention in getting out this call for
intercession, to those whom HE would have to be involved... We are trusting His timing and His calling.
May we ask for you to hear the heart of the Lord on this... We believe the need for strong,
intense, persistent, prevailing prayer is needed NOW --thru the
"public" deadline date of Feb. 1, 2006 of getting the
certified petitions into the State Supreme Court offices of Florida.
We will be praying together on our secured conference
call line. The purpose for this email is to try to connect you and your
group in the call for intercession for this effort.
PLEASE NOTE, the date and understand
the need for "Open
intercession" as we approach the State of Florida deadline ...God will provide
intercessors with a heart to pray for this Pro-Family issue.
You may not be aware, of the prayer effort that has been
working behind the scenes...it is time to come out of the closet and call in
the troops. Thank you for having
a heart to pray. We believe that God wants to do something
supernatural with what is going on in Florida, and HE is allowing all of this
to come into play in order for His purpose and plan for what will happen across
our state, as we seek His face and expect the Lord to move on our hearts and
across our state. Maybe just a note, here to remind ourselves and
others, that the number of days
that are available for us to stand for the Sanctity of Marriage in our
Nation ARE getting smaller... right now the eyes of the
Nation are again on Florida...may we be found faithful.
You Are Invited To Join...
Our "Mid-Night Hour" call for
intercession
....as we pray for the petition drive
efforts in the State of Florida to protect marriage.
Please put this date on your calendar and plan to join us:

Subject: SPECIAL WINTER CONFERENCE AT OUR FATHER'S HOUSE
Dear Friends,
We would like to invite all of you as
the Spirit leads, to come and be part of this year’s WINTER CONFERENCE here at
OUR FATHER’S HOUSE. Every year we pray and ask God who should come and
launch us into the New Year in a time of refreshing in the LORD.
The meetings will begin this
Saturday, January 7 and be nightly through Wednesday, January 11th.
Service time is 7pm.
This year’s guest is CHARLES
CARRIN. Charles is part of the Word, Spirit, Power ministry team with
Jack Taylor and Dr. R.T. Kendall. He is known as “the power guy”.
He ministers under a very strong anointing of the Holy Spirit and believes that
without the power we really can’t be effective witnesses for CHRIST.
Charles is a much sought after speaker at Renewal and Refreshing meetings
around the world. He is a regular on the schedule at Toronto Airport
Christian Fellowship for the annual pastor’s conference and the Catch the Fire
weeks. Charles experienced a powerful move of the Holy Spirit years ago that
forever changed the direction of his life and ministry. He was forever
ruined for the ordinary!!!!!!
I hope you will be able to catch at
least one of these special evenings together. As you know us….we always
like to share with the region what God is doing with us. Let the Space
Coast be blessed and ignited with the fires of God’s holy presence.
Be blessed and may this 2006 year be
a year of great harvest and Christlikeness in all of
our lives and ministries.
GRACE AND PEACE TO EACH OF YOU,
Pastor Larry (Psalm 85:13)

Dear GMS intercessors...
The next GMS (Get Motivated Seminar) will be held here in Orlando on Wednesday, January 25th. Eddie Smith, the head of US Prayer Center who serves as the Prayer Coordinator for the GMS, will have 25 intercessors on site with him that day...so if you want to be part of this amazing intercession, you must sign up ASAP! (After the great times we had in Tallahassee, Pensecola, Jax, Daytona Beach, Sarasota and Gainesville, it won't be had to fill that room!)
Thousands of business people from the greater Orlando area will attend this powerful marketplace motivational seminar being held at the TD Waterhouse Centre. (You may have already seen the newpaper ads or heard the radio spots!) Part of the day's program is a special "bonus session" where the attendees will hear a clear and concise presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and be offered the opportunity to commit their lives and businesses to Him.
The intercessors will arrive by 6:30 AM on Wednesday morning to pray over the meeting area before the participants arrive. A complimentary breakfast will be served to us @ 8 AM, and lunch will be provided. Our day will include live worship, intercession, Eddie's teaching and sharing in a workshop style. We will conclude @ 4:30 PM. .
This will be a wonderful "community builder" as local intercessors have a unique opportunity to "cross-pollinate" in the "Power Center". The atmosphere in this intercessory prayer room will be permeated with love as we meet, interact and operate in submission to the Holy Spirit and in mutual submission to one another. The Lord will honor all who come to serve by taking us deeper into realms of intimacy with HIMSELF which allows us to experience authentic relationship with each other. Together we will experience "The Changing Face of Intercession"! .
Please go to Eddie's website to sign up NOW
www.Usprayercenter.org/seminars/ NAME: gms PASSWORD: prayer
(Please also send me an email Maureen@ruii.org letting me know you will be participating).
I will be available to you at my home / office 407-332-7286, by cell 407-810-4665 and by e-mail Maureen@ruii.org except from January 3 -19, when I will be in India for the Transformation India intercession. Eddie will be in touch with those who sign up, to give you further details.
Looking forward to seeing you on Jan. 25th...and to more opportunities to observe Jeremiah 29:7, IPNCF's foundational scripture, in 2006!
For the King and His Kingdom!
Maureen
PS...For those of you who have been praying for Eddie following his surgery for a ruptured disc in his neck earlier this month. He had a rough time around the fifth day after surgery for about a week, but thank God, he's now recovering beautifully! Please continue to pray and lift him up to the Lord! He is such a critical support to the Changing Face of Intercession at this hour! Thank you! Merry Christmas! MCB

(6) Pray For The Troops
From: TBachnik [at] aol
[dot] com
Date: Sun, 18 Dec 2005 07:53:03 EST
Subject: Re: Prayer For The Troops
This is a synopsis of what we prayed on Friday. We want to
hear where the Lord is leading your intercession and for you to know where the
meeting went so that you can agree:
I love that sense of fullness the Lord gives on the way to this
prayer meeting and how things that were on my heart were brought up by the
others;
#1 of course is always protection for our troops; Can we believe God for big things? 80+/- Americans
died last month. Protection is promised extensively in God's Word, can't
we believe God for every single one of them, that none would perish?
Jean saw us intercessors blowing up in the spirit just like the
terrorists but our explosion was totally Holy Spirit and it was all about
dominion and supernatural blastings effecting the spiritual darkness with destruction just as
the bombs effect the natural. I loved this because I had a sense of this
in the past. I believe the Lord is calling us to blow ourselves up in the
spirit for the causes He is calling us to.
Anne, last month e-mailed me about how key it is for us to be
praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Our very existence as a
nation is tied to our support of Israel. We read and prayed into Is
43. We loosed a wall in the spirit around Israel that looked like the
wall they are building in the natural except it was made up of legions of
warrior angels.
I was struck by the Purple fingers, there
were 15 million of them in Iraq on Thursday. Judy recalled a scripture
that Todd from The Cause quoted at Living Waters about ink and marking which I
haven't been able to find. But we prayed into the prophetic significance
of this event and the election. That the blood of the martyrs(our
fallen soldiers) is crying out from the ground for justice in that land
and of course justice is our Lord Jesus.
We prayed for the unearthing of Osama and the exposing of plots
and plans and we celebrated the turning in of the #3 Al Quida
operative in Iraq last week. We prayed for intercession for the war to
spread like wildfire. That the First Line of Defense for America and
every nation is the church. Since Jesus is the same yesterday, today
and forever this is the day of miracles!
And then as if to raise the priority of this higher in my life we
heard that my son Terry might have to go back to Iraq in February. No
worries! Blastings, Greg

Subject: missions to New Orleans for 24-hour worship
An invitation, from Virginia Sullivent, to join a collaborative missions effort to New Orleans... for relief efforts and to establish 24-hour worship and intercession:
As many of you know, I recently returned from helping with the relief effort in
what remains of New Orleans, coming alongside a local church, Victory
Fellowship, and also Blood and Fire Ministries (Atlanta), JoAnn
McFatter, Shawn Bolz and a
group of 54 people from Amsterdam.
There are
absolutely no words to describe what I encountered there, and you simply cannot
imagine the devastation that exists, even now, over 100 days after hurricane
Katrina.
But God has
not forgotten New Orleans. He is bending
low, beginning to blow His life-giving Spirit into the midst of the
rubble. Many say that this once
notoriously wicked city is closer to revival than any
other in North America. Those who remain
there are broken, open, and have been touched by the fact that the church, more
than any other entity, has reached out to them in their time of need. Once impenetrable racial
barriers have been broken down, paving the way for true relationship and unity. Spiritual strongholds have been displaced.
Now, we have a
window of opportunity, as never before, to co-labor with the Holy Spirit as He,
once again, broods over the chaos, bringing forth His life and establishing His
purposes.
We are
planning to return to New Orleans within the next few months to help again with
the relief efforts and to establish 24-hour worship and intercession
there. We are looking for those with a
heart to pray, to serve and to build:

feel led to be a part of this endeavor in any way, please contact Virginia Sullivent at:

(8) Christians
challenged on abortion in the Church
CHRISTIANS CHALLENGED ON ABORTION IN
THE CHURCH
Clergy asked to reach Out
to post-abortive and at-risk women during Sanctity of Human Life Week, January
15-22
(Christian Wire Service, 12/29/05) As churches prepare to celebrate Sanctity of Human Life Week, January 15-22, 2006, Focus on the Family has challenged clergy members to consider recent statistics on abortion in the church when addressing their congregations. A survey by The Alan Guttmacher Institute conducted among women who had abortions found that one in five self-identified themselves as Evangelical Christian.
Kim
Conroy, Sanctity of Human Life Director for Focus on the Family believes that
it's time for churches to be proactive on this issue. "Every post-abortive
woman sitting in our churches needs to know that there is help and forgiveness
available—and it's our hope during this Sanctity Week that pastors and other
clergy will extend that to her."
"Justice, mercy and compassion must be at the forefront of the
conversation if we truly desire to extend healing to the women in our churches
affected by abortion—both those who've already experienced it and those who are
right now contemplating it," Conroy said. For more information see the

(9) Seek God for the City 2006
This year Steve Hawthorne has brought
forth different themes and Scriptures from last year's edition to focus prayers
for these amazing days of harvest and hope. The prayers are organized around
the classic themes of hope, such as awakening, transformation, and, best of
all, God's visitation.
The topics are fresh, relevant, and
biblical. In drastic times such as these, people are looking for hope that has
substance.
Some features of
Seek God for the City 2006
·
Strengthens what
you are already doing. No complicated
program to organize or meetings to schedule.
·
Unites prayer
throughout your church. An
attractive, easy-to-use tool that can help
unite prayers between many churches throughout an entire community.
·
Lift prayer from
private or trivial matters. Helps your
people learn to pray for what matters most by directing attention toward what
God is doing in the lives of people throughout your community.
·
Builds the
confidence of everyday believers that they can
pray with clarity, authority, and relevance as they learn to pray in keeping
with Scripture. Involves everyone in your church family, not just a “prayerful
elite.”
·
Opens a great
way to pray toward Easter. For those of
liturgical streams, it augments the Lenten season with a marvelous blend of
repentance and intercessory hope. Those of other streams find that it lifts
attention toward Christ's visitation at Palm Sunday. The calendar concludes on
Palm Sunday, leaving everyone prepared for Easter week without crowding the
schedule with extra activity.
Two Special
Versions
·
A special
Children's Companion Version is available
online at no cost, opening another vital way of uniting prayer. This guide is
in six weekly installments of .PDF files to download and photocopy. A great way
for families to pray together. See www.waymakers.org.
·
A Spanish
translation of Seek God for the City 2006 is available at
no cost as a .PDF file to download from www.waymakers.org.
Two Things to
Consider
·
Cost—The booklet is modestly priced at $3.00 per copy. With bulk
discounts, it is even more affordable. One important factor: people use what
they value and they value what they pay for. By encouraging people to offer a
donation of one to three dollars for a copy, you'll find that they will
participate more fully and your costs will usually be more than covered.
·
Timing—The forty-day season of prayer begins Wednesday, March 1,
2006. That means that the best times for distribution in churches are
going to be on two Sundays: February 19 and February 26. Although we can
usually deliver last-minute orders in a timely way, we urge you to order as
early as possible in December and January. Call 1-800-264-5214 for quickest
order processing.
