PRAY CENTRAL
FLORIDA
Dear
Fellow Prayer Warrior, April,
2006
Greetings in the name of the Lord. The
Orlando Festival with Luis Palau was fantastic. The two day attendance estimate
is 85,000 people. There were over 650 churches participating, many businesses
(who footed the bulk of the bill) and thousands of volunteers. Thousands of
people were saved or rededicated their lives to Christ, including at least five
salvations in the prayer tent. Many people responded to our “Free Prayer” sign
and kept us busy praying over people most of the time both days. Several times
people were waiting in line for prayer. Some people wept as God touched their
hearts. Some received wisdom and specific direction from the Lord while we were
praying for them. One lady who received prayer on Saturday came back on Sunday
to testify that God would not let her sleep until she spent time with Him.
While she did that, He poured out answers to her questions and direction for
specific areas of her life, just as we had prayed. Of course we did not twist
God’s arm, rather He put on our hearts to pray for the very things He was wanting to do. We had a powerful time of prayer for a
whole family – three generations present – and one of them gave
his life to the Lord! Any of us that were there Sunday night will always
remember a young man who walked into the prayer tent while we were worshiping.
He was smoking a cigarette and cussing like crazy – in the tent. He said he
didn’t know why he was there, something compelled him
to come in. Someone got him a bottle of cold water and someone else got him a
cookie as we continued to worship. The cigarette disappeared and he sat down
and told one of our team his story. He was a drug dealer and had killed several
people. He wanted to break free from that whole life and he needed forgiveness.
We led him to the Lord and as his new birth really began to sink in he threw
his lighter across the parking lot and was literally jumping and break dancing
for joy.
We got to meet Luis Palau
the Friday morning before the event. We were praying on the main stage and he
came there for an interview. After the interview we saw him and he shook our
hands and thanked us for praying. He said the prayers of the saints are what makes the ministry possible. That
same thanks extends to all of you who prayed for this Festival. You have a part
in the many miracles that God accomplished at this Festival. There are pictures
and video on www.orlandofestival.com.
Please
pray for Maureen and Jackie, they are ministering in
India now through April 12th.

(4) Pray For The Troops

Subject: Pray For The
Troops
Dear Intercessors:
We had a great prayer meeting yesterday, small
but alive. We began with "Shalom" and I speak that to you as
well. The peace of God which passes understanding
and encompasses every area of you life. Shalom! We speak it to our
nation. That word includes trusting in God as every US coin reminds
us. We speak it over Iraq, that is the promise
and really what we are contending for there. We speak it over Israel and Jeruselem, even the Palestinians. And
especially now over Iran. Last month Rita saw a cloud covering
Iraq, fitting perfectly over the country. It was a cloud of God's Glory
and we prayed into that a lot; for supernatural sovereign encounters by the
people of Iraq, especially the insurgents. We prayed for the salvation of
souls in Iraq, for God's blessings on that country, on their people and on the
insurgents. Forgive them for they know not what they do. We prayed
for the Christian church in Iraq, for manifestations, for healing, for
faith. I see a pillar of cloud and fire over the church in Iraq,
that Muslims would be drawn to gatherings and instantly know that they are
in the presence of God and be saved! We prayed for Bibles in Iraq.
We prayed for Iran, Israel and the US. And we prayed for, sensed really,
and then decreed, FAITH exploding in the church. "I have to
know what God's heart is so I can decree it." Big
things, impossible things. "No civil war in Iraq!"
We call forth reports of "Miraculous" close calls of individual
soldiers making the nightly news.
I came across this statistical analyses
of the war in November and felt challenged to be specific in my prayers,
quantifiable. To specifically pray for the statistics
to bare witness to God's protection of the troops. We are
praying for God's protection for our forces, all of them and the next one
in harms way. Month after month the statistics
have dropped. I have to admit when I went to get the graph for this months figures I thought "what will I do if
they go up". And I believe the Lord reminded me of James 5:16 ...the
effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth
much. Do I expect results when I pray? The Lord was showing me my
unbelief. Lord, help me! Lord, help us to pray believing.
Nothing is impossible with You. Mark 1:37.
I believe the Lord wants to challenge each of us to pray believing. And we are
seeing another month of decline. Praise God!
This month we have sent books (And God Saw Them Through, with the
help of Strang Publishing) to
CMDR Craig Muehler
MWHS-3 Chaplain
LtCol David A Robinson
Capt Nolan Gordan's
(Afghanistan) Mother Nancy
and are ordering books for
Lt. Anthony Bravo, USN
Baghdad, Iraq
We came up with the idea of refrigerator magnets to remind us to
pray. We ask you to pray into this project that the lord would show us
how to proceed. Exactly at the right time I spoke with my friend Maureen
Bravo, coordinator of Central Florida Prayer Network, and learned her son is a
pilot in Iraq now. I asked for a picture and you can see the sample
refrigerator magnet at the top of the page. The idea has evolved
into custom refrigerator magnets. Your son or husband is in
the middle east, send us a picture and we send you
refrigerator magnets to pass out at your church, among your friends to remind
them to pray for him and the troops. What do you think?
Finally we are extremely excited about the camo
bandanas with Psalm 91 silk screened on them and we will be posting how we can
get them and send them to individual troops or whole units.
Please send what you are getting re the war, how to pray. Be
encouraged! Shalom (which includes Blastings) Greg Bachnik, 407-327-4422
PS My wife, Susan continues being healed. She
is, this moment, garage saling without oxygen and
feels good, praise God! Please continue to pray for her total healing.

"Wake Up Call"
True Revival
Francis Frangipane
People often ask me, "When true revival comes, what will it
look like?" To me, a revival is not legitimized merely by the increasing
numbers of signs and wonders. Moses, Elijah and Elisha
all had great signs accompanying their lives, but signs do not equate to
revival. Israel was often awed by manifestations, yet supernatural wonders
never brought the nation to repentance.
What about powerful and exciting church
services? Personally, I do not believe church services every night, even if
they last until midnight, are themselves a sign of revival. Increased services
and manifestations may accompany revival, but they are not, in themselves,
evidence of revival.
What, then, should revival look like? On
an individual, person-by-person level, a true revival looks like people being
empowered to become like Jesus.
I do not mean that they have merely
become emotional or happy or animated about Jesus - as important as these
things are. I am saying they actually received power to become like Him. Deep
in their spirit an awakening occurs and they see Christ not only as the
payment for their sins, but as the pattern for their lives.
This is what happened at Pentecost.
Fearful, prideful disciples were transformed into humble, powerful replicas of
Jesus. They spoke the Word of God with boldness - just like Jesus. They healed
people, just like Jesus; and they were willing to suffer for Christ, just as He
willingly suffered for them.
Today, we do not have the fire of the
Holy Ghost, we have Casper, the friendly ghost. With
Casper, everyone goes to heaven. Casper cuddles, but never convicts. He never
calls people into conformity with Christ.
You see, true revival is a hot lava-flow
of courage being poured into the backbone of a once defeated people. It is
radiant faces, purified souls and holy lips. It is people becoming like Jesus.

(6) TEEN SELF-MUTILATION RISING
Nearly 15 percent of adolescents claim
to use “cutting” or “branding” as a way to deal with stress and ease pain
Ask the Lord to arise and contend
against the enemies of our children and to save them. Declare for them: freedom
from rebellion and rejection, freedom from sexual addiction, freedom from drugs
and the occult. Declare a great spiritual jail break for the youth of America.
(Isaiah 49:25)
Ask the Lord to pour out His father’s
heart and raise up a fathering, mothering movement in
America that will raise America’s youth from the dead and set them into
double-portion destiny. (1 Kings 19:15-16)
(Contra Costa Times, 4/2/06) They use razors, kitchen knives, even sharpened
paper clips to slice deep cuts in their arms or legs. And when their parents
catch them, some resort to cutting between their breasts or inner thighs, where
no one will see.
Twenty years ago, self-mutilation was
rarely seen outside psychiatric wards and no one talked about it. Even today,
many adults have never heard of "cutting" -- though their older
children probably have.
Self-mutilation, once seen as the behavior of such seriously disturbed
individuals that it was treated with anti-psychotic drugs, is now commonplace,
Cornell University researchers and other experts say. Nearly 15 percent of
adolescents -- three to five students in every middle or high school classroom
-- claim to use it as a way to deal with stress and emotional pain. And
self-injury appears to be on the rise.
In a letter to parents at Berkeley's King Middle School last year, crisis
counselor Jan Sells called cutting an "epidemic" that has swelled
dramatically in the past five years. Las Lomas crisis
counselor Merritt Rollins says the problem is not limited to razor blades.
Some youths use erasers -- the hard, pink kind -- to slough off layers of skin.
Others turn to flame, using a lighter to burn the flesh under their arms.
Many experts now look at cutting and other kinds of self-mutilation in the same
light as bulimia -- disorders that typically begin in adolescence, affect far
more girls than boys, and ultimately stem from other issues.
Anna believes the media have glamorized cutting, that movies such as
"Thirteen" and the "emo" punk
rock music stereotype "have made it mainstream." Anna says she's not
sure why she began doing it, but she had been depressed for some time "and
somehow this just made sense to me." Some doctors believe that the release
of endorphins -- the body's euphoric pain inhibitors -- is part of the appeal.
Half the teens who self-mutilate are said to be victims of sexual or physical
abuse. (Image: Kidshealth.org

BIBLICAL PROPHECY IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND THE PURIM PRAYER CALL
AN UNHOLY CONSPIRACY
By Jim Goll
The Word of the Lord
from
Psalm 83
The new militant President of Iran has declared Psalm 83 and doesn't even know
it! He has stated that his goal is to, "Wipe Israel off
the face of the earth and that they be remembered no more!"
With nuclear weapons
in the process of being made in Iran, the goal of this evil ruler is to attack
Israel and the "great satan" (the United
States). With the violent, terrorist Palestinian government headed by the Hamas party now in power of the Gaza Strip, Iraq on the
verge of a civil war, and with Israel's Prime Minister laying in a coma and
Israel headed into national elections soon, the entire Middle East is in a
major crisis and could soon reach a boiling point!
Psalm 83 tells us of this
unholy conspiracy! Many Bible teachers agree that this text has not yet been
fulfilled. This particular group has not yet been brought into an alignment
with this degree of hatred. The passage does not say "the peoples of the
land of the north," nor does it say "Germany." Psalm 83 describes vividly a
troubling alignment set against a wearied Jewish state.
Psalm 83:3-8 --
"They make shrewd plans against Your people, And
conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, "Come, and
let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of
Israel be remembered no more." For they have conspired together with one
mind; Against You they make a covenant: The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites (southern Jordon and Saudi Arabia), Moab
(central Jordon) and the Hagrites (Syria and Arabia)
; Gebal (southern Jordon) and Ammon
(southern Jordon) and Amalek (Sinai desert), Philistia (Gaza Strip area) with the inhabitants of Tyre (southern Lebanon); Assyria (Syria/Iraq) also has
joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot."
But the last few
verses of Psalm 83 tells us God's
redemptive plan in the midst of chaos. The psalmist calls for God to glorify
Himself--to make His great name and His name alone known over all the earth.
God's goal in times of testing is to glorify Himself.
Psalm 83:16-18 --
"Fill their faces with dishonor, That they may
seek Your name, O LORD. Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever, And let them be humiliated and perish, That they may know
that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the
earth."
Crisis Intercession
Needed!
It is my conviction, and also that of many other leaders in the Body of the
Messiah, that the Holy Spirit is opening a strategic window of opportunity for
the Gentile church to arise "for such a time as this." We must pray
and take a stand as never before in all of Church History. We must pray for
God's purposes to be fulfilled in Israel, in the Jewish people, and in all the
descendants of Abraham.
"For if you remain
silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from
another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether
you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?"-- Esther 4:14
The Good News is that
the Lord answers when we cry out to Him for help. Israel's history shows a
clear pattern of people who, time and again, found themselves in trouble, cried
out to the Lord and saw Him deliver them out of their adversity.
In the Spirit of Esther and Mordecai
It is time for us to pray, read, and live out the book
of Esther again. God is raising up new Mordecais who have His grace upon them to prepare the
corporate Esther (Body of Believers) to do radical exploits in His name on
behalf of God's purposes amongst the Jewish people worldwide and in Israel
particularly.
The Holy Spirit wants to inject the burden of the Lord for purposes of God
among the Jewish people into the global prayer movement, like a nurse with a
fully loaded needle. We need a potent injection of God's heart into our heart!
That is why God wants to raise up a Mordecai anointing to prepare Esther for a
time of intervention. We know what Esther accomplished, but what was Mordecai's
task? What was his divine assignment?
Mordecai's job was to raise up and prepare Esther for
her hour of influence before the king. Mordecai raised Esther as his own
daughter. He did not bow down or pay homage to Haman,
who sought the destruction of the Jews, but only worshipped the one true God.
He intercepted Haman's scheme of the enemy and
revealed it with wisdom to those in authority. He walked in prophetic counsel
and instilled courage into Esther.
Esther, properly tutored and mentored by the counsel of Mordecai, seized the
moment through prayer and fasting. Esther was anointed to intervene and stand
in the gap, yet she had to walk in cooperation with the preparation of
Mordecai, the spiritual authority God had placed in her life.
God chose to work through Mordecai to alert Esther to her destiny and timing of
her intercessory acts on behalf of the Jews. God is looking for modern day Mordecais to prepare corporate Esther--His people for such
a time as this!
The History of the Days of Purim
The celebration of Purim originated out of the decrees
of Mordecai and Queen Esther--Esther 9:29-32. It was a time when
intervention arose through desperate acts of prayer and fasting led by Queen
Esther to overturn the decree for the annihilation of the Jewish people
inspired by Haman. Haman's
evil plot was revealed, the tables were turned, and he was hung on his own
gallows. The events took place historically roughly between
483 to 471 B.C.
According to the Jewish calendar, Purim is held in the month of Adar,
which usually falls in February or March. Purim, as a Jewish holiday, is
observed in celebration of God's supernatural deliverance of the Jewish people
from Haman's genocidal plot to destroy them in the
time of Persia's King Artaxerxes. The holiday was
held on the 14th of Adar (according to the Jewish calendar) in the un-walled
cities and the 15th of Adar in the cities that were walled in the time of
Joshua.
Moses was born in Adar. It is also the month when the Jewish leader of the Maccabees defeated the Syrians, and it is also the month
when the orders were given to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem preceding the
reconstruction of the Temple and first return of the Jewish people to Israel. Redemptively, the period of time known as Adar has been a
time when intervention comes out of crisis.
Although Purim was founded in biblical times, its observation is not commanded
by God as are the holy convocations mentioned in Leviticus 23. But the Holy Spirit
is prophetically calling believers today to participate in this special time of
sacrifice in this generation. Even as Esther called for a nationwide three-day
fast preceding her intervention on behalf of the Jewish people, so I am
trumpeting a sound for crisis intervention through prayer in these days. Let's
intercede once again on behalf of the Jewish people for deliverance from Haman's (the enemy of God and His people) plot.
Therefore, every year I am calling on all Christians to sacrifice their time,
their comfort, and their agendas to undertake a three-day Esther Mandate Fast
at Purim. This spiritual investment of the Worldwide Prayer Movement in the
global body of Christ will not fail. It will bring about nothing less than
"God's will on earth as it is in Heaven" for the Jewish people and
the nation of Israel.
The Cry for Israel's Sake
In the name of the Lord, I boldly and humbly call for "The Cry", a
yearly, three-day time of prayer and fasting corresponding with Purim.
May this time of crisis-intervention prayer and fasting for the purposes of God
amongst the Jewish people and the nations of Israel arise "until Jerusalem
is established as a praise in the earth"--Isaiah 62: 6, 7.
I have a challenge for all who read this: Whose supplications will be heard?
Who will lift up their voice to fill up a golden bowl in Heaven?--see Revelation 5:8. Will you join me and
hundreds of others?
Join me as we seek the face of God once again as a Bride prepared for her King.
The Days for The Cry during Purim--an Esther Mandate Fast--are March 12–14,
2006.
The Fast would start at sundown on the 12th Adar/March and continue until
sundown on the 15th of Adar/March. In this year 5766/2006 the days of Adar and
March are the same, meaning that the 11th of Adar is also the 11th of March (in
this year only). A fast is usually held the day preceding Purim.
