PRAY   CENTRAL   FLORIDA

Dear Fellow Prayer Warrior,                                                                           February, 2007

Greetings in the name of the Lord. February 18th is "Amazing Grace" Sunday for churches across the nation, to coincide with the release of the anticipated film coming to theaters nationwide on February 23. See:  www.amazinggracesunday.com for church bulletin inserts and more. For more information on the movie and to view the trailer and clips check out www.AmazingGraceMovie.com.

This film depicts the real life story of William Wilberforce, the Christian member of the British Parliament who fought to end the slave trade in England. The movie also shows the relationship between Wilberforce and John Newton, who authored the hymn, Amazing Grace.

Many are familiar with the term “Transformation” and the concept of praying for God to transform our city. Sometimes they are general prayers but sometimes specific areas require focused and informed intercession. I believe the rise in our crime rate is one of those areas. Please read the following prayerfully and ask the Lord what your role is to be.

Crime in Central Florida

We pray many different things for our city (Central Florida area). They are spiritual things but often events in the natural give clues to things happening in the spirit realm. In 2006 the violent crime rate in our area skyrocketed, largely due to crimes committed by juveniles (kids under 18). We saw this in the jail ministry as the number of juveniles we minister to each month roughly doubled (from about 35 to about 70) in 2006. There are many possible reasons for this in the natural. Some that have been given include the following. A national trend arriving here, the effect of the breakdown of the family and now a second generation of fatherless families, increased numbers of officers and targeting “at risk” neighborhoods leading to more arrests, a crack-down on drug dealing which causes some kids to switch to armed robbery to get money, to name a few. We had some informal “focus group” like discussions with the juvenile inmates and asked them the reasons for the crime increase. Very few mentioned the reasons I have already listed, which came from newspapers, police officers, the Mayor of Orlando and other adults. Nearly all the juveniles said it all broke down to the love of money. With money they can buy all the trappings of “success” and feed the cravings of their flesh. With it they can be “somebody”. In the Prayer Wall this month we hit some of these issues head on. You can see this month’s Wall on our web site - www.christiansnet.com/praycf/PrayerWall200702Calendarw.htm. I encourage each of you to pray into this situation whether you use the Prayer Wall as a tool or not. Clearly there are deeper roots here and more factors in the natural than I have included in this brief writing. I have started a “blog” on our web site and invite your participation in an ongoing discussion regarding causes (both natural and spiritual) and solutions (both natural and spiritual). Please E-mail your contributions to me and I will post them on our site.

Subject: Amazing Grace Movie Opens Fri. Feb. 23, 2007

Dear Friend,

On Friday night, February 23, 2007, the new critically acclaimed movie Amazing Grace, is opening nationwide in major cities.  This film depicts the real life story of William Wilberforce, the Christian member of the British Parliament who fought to end the slave trade in England. This wonderful and inspiring major motion picture was produced by the same quality artists from Walden Media that gave us The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe and Charlotte's Web.

I have seen this movie in a pre screening twice and it is simply outstanding.  Wilberforce was a moral rock and this movie tells the story of his decades of tireless work to defeat slavery.  The movie also shows the relationship between Wilberforce and John Newton, who authored the hymn, Amazing Grace.  The story is moving and challenges you on a number of levels.  This movie presents an unprecedented opportunity to bring about racial reconciliation and envision citizens to become social change agents in society.  For more information on the movie and to view the trailer and clips check out www.AmazingGraceMovie.com.

In some Florida cities, entire theaters are being bought out on the opening night.  It is important that we pack the house on the first three days over the weekend so that the movie will continue for several weeks/months and not be pulled after the first week.  The Florida cities that will show the movie are listed below.  For further information on group sales or to buy out and reserve an entire theater call 1-888-814-7223.

Thank you for your support of this amazing movie, which testifies to the amazing grace, of our amazing God.

Sincerely,

John Stemberger

We have so many testimonies from our Schools, Seminars and Weekends. It is amazing how God can bring revelation and healing when we spend time listening to Him. Father God is so in the business of restoring hearts and healing His children. It is a great pleasure for us to be a part of the process.

Here is just one testimony that we wanted to share with you.

"I always knew since becoming a born again Christian, that God loves me and accepts me just as I am. I didn't realize how much of this was just head knowledge for me. I realize now that I had only a small inkling of this in my heart. Soaking in His presence has secured me and grounded me in His passion for me, and all of His children. He really does love me! He even likes me!"

***OVER 300 BABIES WE KNOW OF ARE ALIVE TODAY BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO!!!  In

the 12 months since I put a 55 second video clip of an actual abortion being

performed on the Liveprayer.com homepage, we have received emails from over

300 women who were planning on killing their babies, but after watching that

video clip realized they couldn't do it and chose to let their babies LIVE!

Praise God!  Please, get anyone you know who is even thinking of an abortion

to go watch this video before they make that horrible mistake they will deal

with for the rest of their lives.   http://www.liveprayer.com/abortion.cfm

Why are the people who are protesting the war in Iraq, upset over those who

are being killed, the same people who fight so we can keep slaughtering over

4,000 innocent babies in this nation EVERY DAY???  I find it ironic those

who wax eloquently on the horrors of those who have been killed in the war

we are waging against those who want to see us wiped off the face of the

planet, are the very same people who actively protest and fight to keep the

practice of infanticide legal in this nation.  Where is their outrage over

the fact that every 24 hours, another 4,000 innocent babies are slaughtered

in this nation??

CHRISTIAN EXECUTED IN NORTH KOREA

North Korea is a country that kills Christians for just being Christians. Today, we have a chilling story of the government’s continuing oppression. World Bible Translation Center’s Gary Bishop received sobering news from their worker there.
A man that’s known to be an evangelist. He’s probably not an evangelist to anyone other than his family members, but he was caught with two of our Korean New Testaments in his possession and he was executed for that.”
Bishop says there’s no sign persecution is easing. Despite this, Bishop says God seems to be working. “In response to a very, very oppressive government (and) human injustices people are looking for an answer other than their own government. And, I believe that’s awakening the resilience of believers in North Korea to say, ‘we have another answer. There is another way to believe.’”

Porch Homecoming Celebration

Sunday, February 18

The Porch Ministries is inviting all those who have gathered under our roof over the years to join us in a fond remembrance of the past, a celebration of the present and a rejoicing in God’s future plans for all of us.  As we transition into the next season, we want to recognize and reconnect with those who have worshipped and labored for the Kingdom here. We are calling leaders and body members from all these ministries to come and join us in a time of fellowship and rejoicing.

At 6:00pm we will have a covered dish love feast and fellowship for you to enjoy close friends and friends you haven’t seen in a while. At 7:00pm we will join together in corporate worship as we have so many times before. We will sing and dance.  We will share testimonies and memories.  We will recognize the ministries and people who have gathered and labored in the Kingdom here over the years. Together we will rejoice and praise God for all that He has done, is doing and will do in the future.  And we will bless out Karen Schwager.

The Porch…

expecting… experiencing… the powerful love of Christ

We knew from the very beginning that the Lord had appointed and anointed this parcel of land in the center of the city for His presence and His purpose.  The Porch’s name was derived from Solomon’s Porch in Acts and it has indeed been a place for all believers to meet together at the entrance of the temple. Over the past 10 years, the Porch facility has been home to more than 25 churches and ministries who have ministered through the Holy Spirit in the Word, worship, prayer, and equipping. We have prayed with shouts, whispers and tears. We have

worshipped with liturgy, prophetic word and song, drum circles and hymns. Black, Hispanic, Native American,  and white have praised in their own style and tongues. We have danced in joy and laid on our faces in awed silence. The rich have served the poor and the poor have ministered to the rich. We have loved God and each other. People groups and individuals have been reconciled and healed and set free to love again. People came here to heal, to learn, and to grow; many have been sent out to carry the Good News and God’s love, healing and Word to other places.  We entered this land in prayer and we have prayed through it all.

Some have called The Porch a womb, a birthing place, an equipping place for ministries; many have called her “home” – the place I got saved or healed or ordained or anointed or launched into God’s destiny for me.

The Porch building has had three different owners during the past 10 years.  It is currently owned by a family partnership of Jews from Israel and our overseer is Oded Cohen – a descendent of the priestly line of Aaron.

During this time, many have come and gone, as it was supposed to be, while two people, John Cox and Karen Schwager, have remained – watching the gate, coordinating the ministry activities, taking care of the facility and representing the church to our neighborhood and the owners of  the land.

The time has come for the next group of priests and Levites to take on the stewardship of this house of prayer and worship. John Cox will continue to pastor The Porch Church here. Karen Schwager will be another person sent out by the Porch as she moves to Texas to be with her family in the next season of her life and ministry.

On February 1st,  Patrick Thatcher of the Orlando International Christian Center will become the chief steward of this anointed property.  He plans to continue the calling of the location to be wellspring of God’s presence and power in the City as well as a place for many ministries to worship and serve the Lord our God.

Now – as always, you have a part in this celebration.  In addition to blessing us with your lovely faces, we need you to participate in these ways:

  1. PASS IT ON!  We are missing the contact info for a lot of people who have been a part of the family here.  All have been a part; everyone is invited.  Please pass this on through your e-mail lists and phone calls, even if you think we have contacted someone – we don’t want anyone to be overlooked.

  1. Worship teams singers and instrumentalists – we’d love to have you on the stage once again!   Please let Karen Schwager know if you would like to take your place again at this celebration.

  1. Administrators and servers – we need you to

a.        Clean and shine the building in preparation

b.       coordinate activities – musicians, meal, recognitions

c.        decorate and set up for the meal               d.  clean up afterwards

  1. RSVP to Karen@theporchministries.org or 407-849-9888 ext 11. Tell us how many are coming with you for the covered dish dinner. If you pass it on, ask others to RSVP also.

Volunteers- tell us what you’d like to do and your e-mail and phone #.

We look forward to seeing you again.  Please make it a point to join us and the others who have been here over the years…With much love, rejoicing and blessings,

John Cox and   Karen Schwager

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven. He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. Subject: Can you get just one more?

Happy New Year!

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration.

As the New Year begins, we want to invite you back into the statewide effort to protect the institution of marriage between one man and one woman in Florida. Currently we only need about 28,000 more signatures to complete the petition campaign and put the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment on the 2008 ballot.

If each person reading this e-mail could get one more person to sign the petition and mail it in, we would make our goal!  Give some thought right now to asking family members, friends, co-workers, church members or neighbors to sign one petition, and mail it in. That's right - right now, you can play a decisive role in bringing the petition drive to a close in the early weeks of 2007.

Would you please take a few minutes to print off one more petitions and ask others to sign them today?  The person must be a Florida voter and they must not have signed one before. If the person is not sure if they have signed or not then a call to your local supervisor or elections can quickly verify this.  We will continue to communicate our progress and let you know as soon as the petition goal has been reached.

Thank you for considering this critical challenge now during January 2007 to help protect marriage.  Your participation is so important and your help is so appreciated.

If you have never attended a conference like this it will radically change your perspective and tell you the truth about homosexuality, it origins, and how you can help others who are struggling with this sin.  We encourage you to attend this groundbreaking conference that brings together some of the foremost Christian experts in the areas of healing sexual brokenness and the church's response to homosexuality. Speakers include Alan Chambers, President of Exodus International, Nancy Heche, author of the book, The Truth Comes Out, and Prof. Robert Gagnon, author of The Bible and Homosexual Practice. You will want to make every effort to attend this conference which addresses one of the most important issues facing the church today. Visit www.Oneby1.org or CLICK HERE for conference details.

Book Recommendation:

"Come What May" by Nancy Heche

Come What May is the auto biography of Nancy Heche, the single mother to (now Hollywood actress) daughter Ann Heche who became famous worldwide for an open lesbian relationship with Hollywood personality Ellen Degeneris.  Nancy Heche's story is a modern day Job-like experience and the book documents her life and the tragic but fascinating circumstances surrounding the story of her family.  Heche pulls no punches as she describes in vivid detail the good the bad and the ugly of her relationship with her husband Don and how she eventually learns years later that he was all along living a double life as a homosexual man which eventually destroyed their marriage and family.  This is an amazing true story about the redemption and restoration of a prodigal. The deeper story is really about the Amazing Grace that God extends to His children even in the darkest and loneliest moments of life.  Nancy will also be speaking at the Orlando conference above.  Buy her book online and read it before attending the conference HERE

Subject: Houses of Prayer Become One

Welcome to Worship House of Prayer!

Three houses of prayer--The Furnace, Worship House of Prayer, and 24/7 Prayer Room--have united as one force... to create a central Florida base for 24/7 worship and prayer, with equipping centers for the end-time harvest, healing teams/rooms, justice sieges, and mercy outreaches... loving Jesus with all of our heart, soul, mind, strength... and loving others with the Father's heart. We are calling this new marriage "Worship House of Prayer."

Worship House of Prayer Vision

We believe that we are joined together to establish a missions base--a hub for house of prayer, equipping schools, mercy and justice missions, and outreaches. When the house of prayer ministries converged, we discovered that most elements of the base have already begun:

We see the prayer room as the heart of the missions base, providing the power for the base to function. The equipping schools will send people into the prayer room as well as into the harvest fields. The prayer room and equipping centers will flow together.

In 2007 we anticipate growth in these areas:

Prayer Room Schedule

With the merging houses of prayer, the prayer room hours have doubled! By February, we expect to have at least 62 hours of worship and intercession going up into the heavenlies weekly. We are so grateful for to the Lord for His love and compassion upon Central Florida

APPEAL DATE SET FOR INNERCHANGE FREEDOM INITIATIVE
From Mark L. Earley, President, Prison Fellowship

The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals has set February 13, 2007, for oral arguments in the appeal of the ruling against Prison Fellowship and the InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI). No decision will be announced on the day of the hearing.

As you know, the State of Iowa and IFI (an enormously successful, intensive pre-release program) have been sued by Barry Lynn and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. The judge in the case ruled that the IFI program in Iowa violated the "separation of church and state" and ordered the program shut down pending appeal.

Lawyers for IFI and the State of Iowa will argue the appeal before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis, Missouri. Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Judge Roger L. Wollman, and Judge Duane Benton have been assigned to hear the case. While it is uncommon for a retired Supreme Court Justice to sit on cases, Justice O'Connor has offered to do so, and has from time to time been assigned to appellate panels.

There are several things you can do to support IFI:

Pray
for wisdom for the attorneys who will present IFI's case and for the judges who hear the case. Please also pray that God will comfort for the staff and the IFI prisoner-participants who have had to live with this uncertainty.

Write letters to the editors of your local newspapers and your denominational publications. You can find information to include in letters at our IFI Ruling web page: http://www.pfm.org/generic.asp? ID=2416

Talk to your Bible study, fellowship or accountability group about the importance of this case and ask for them to join us in praying to defend IFI. Thank you! Mark L. Earley, Prison Fellowship

J. Lee Grady: What I Learned in Darkest Africa
Donna Chappell
Jan 20, 2007

Beloved Worshippers:

Below is a post from J. Lee Grady, editor of Charisma magazine.  I encourage you to subscribe to his postings.  He has worthwhile things to say (even when I don't agree with him, he still makes thoughtful arguments!)!  You can read his and others' articles at www.charismamag.com.

His observations on Nigerian prayer reminds me of Cuba.  The brethren there seek the Lord with a desperation that is consuming.  Some of it is need-driven, I'm sure; but much of it is passion-driven.  They're not just praying for food and necessities, but for communion with our Lord.

A friend I met on my first trip to Cuba was able to visit the US.  This was several years after our initial meeting.  He didn't have time to notify anyone that he was coming, so he wasn't received as he should have been.  Things were very hard for him here.  He called from Miami one night, pretty discouraged.  He was missing Cuba and was very homesick!  After listening to him pour out his heart, I asked if I could pray for him.  He started to weep.  It seemed like a simple gesture on my part, but to him it was huge.  He said, "I've been in this country for three weeks, and you're the first person who has offered to pray for me!"  That intimacy through corporate prayer was what he missed most about Cuba.  It stung me to hear that, even though he had been entirely among Christians in the US, no one -- nobody!!! -- had prayed for him or with him!

While that is quite an indictment, I have to remember what the Lord told Alice Smith several years ago:  "I am coming to this country -- either by invitation or by desperation!"

Let us be the ones to bring the invitation.  Let us be the ones who fuel the fires of invitation by smoking prayer.  No wonder the picture of prayer in scripture is incense -- it is fiery hot and smoking with a gorgeous, lingering aroma that clings to everyone who is in the vicinity of the prayer!

Come, Lord Jesus!  We are desperate for You and for Your presence!  Visit this land in our time of greatest spiritual poverty!  Our churches are full and our hearts are empty!  Burn in our spirits and turn up the heat of our passion for You!

What I Learned in Darkest Africa
By J. Lee Grady

We
would be wise to take some spiritual cues from our brothers and sisters in Nigeria, where the gospel is burning brightly.

When I was a child, white missionaries often came to my church to present slide shows of their work among what they called the "heathen tribes of Africa." The white folks dug wells, built clinics and schools, provided food and preached the gospel to dark-skinned people who had never heard of the Savior.

Most missionaries who went to Africa did so with good hearts and right motives. But others carried with them a patronizing attitude. They viewed the Africans as inferior and encouraged them to become helplessly dependent on the white church. Their gospel was solid and evangelical, yet it was laced with a smug racism that implied that black people were only receivers of the message rather than authorized carriers of it.

Times have changed. Old attitudes are crumbling, and an empowered church is arising in Africa that will soon outshine the church in North America.

I saw this last week during my sixth trip to Nigeria, where churches are growing rapidly in spite of the challenges of Islam, government corruption and intrinsic poverty. Leaders of the Nigerian church have stepped into a place of spiritual maturity and are offering the kind of Christian leadership that is sorely lacking in the West.

During my time in Lagos, a city of 15 million, I attended a pastors prayer meeting that lasted from 9 a.m. until way past noon. More than 700 came to pray for the future of Nigeria, partly motivated by an upcoming presidential election.

"The most important commodity this country will export is the gospel," said Rev. Samuel Adeyemi, host of the event and pastor of the 12,000-member Daystar congregation. He led fellow pastors in repentance for government corruption and challenged the leaders to use the message of Christ to transform every sector of Nigerian society.

"When we take responsibility for our nation, the power of God will work on our behalf," Adeyemi told the crowd.

Sitting in the audience, I couldn't help but wonder if any prayer meeting in the United States would attract 700 pastors. And these Nigerian leaders were not running in and out of the meeting to answer cell phones. They were either on their knees or standing with hands raised the entire four hours.

In this prayer meeting and in another prayer conference I attended a few days later in the city of Port Harcourt, I noticed several qualities we Americans would do well to copy.

1. They pray with passion. Nigerian Christians are not embarrassed to pray in tongues. While we in the United States are still debating whether glossalalia is biblical, the pastors in Lagos stormed heaven with militancy and electric zeal. For them, prayer is not a time for lukewarm platitudes or a seeker-friendly style.

2. They pray in unity. Bishop David Oyedopo, founder of Winner's Chapel—the world's largest church building, with 50,000 seats—told the crowd in Lagos: "Until we bury our differences we will not make a difference." Even though Oyedopo's massive church keeps him busy, he still finds time to link with other leaders in Nigeria. He knows they must create a united front to face the threats posed by militant Islam. (How bad must it get in the United States before we will discover our need for each other?)

3. They stand for holiness. Leaders in Lagos called for repentance and warned that God will resist the church if the pulpits are defiled. "Judgment must begin in God's house," declared Rev. Wale Adefarasin, head of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. In the Port Harcourt event, called Global PrayerQuake, prayer leader Pamela Eze-Uzomaka led an audience of 7,000 in asking God to forgive and save Europeans who are legalizing same-sex marriage. How ironic it is that the so-called "heathen of Africa" are now the ones upholding the standard of biblical morality while Western denominations have fallen into apostasy, depravity and spiritual lethargy.

4. They support Israel. I found it amazing that the Africans unashamedly prayed for the protection and salvation of Israel—at a time when many believers in the United States are too concerned about political correctness to take such a stand. "Even if no other continent will pray for Israel, Africa will pray for Israel," shouted Rev. Christy Jireh, who led 7,000 in prayer at the Global PrayerQuake conference on Jan. 10.

5. They understand spiritual warfare. You don't have to convince a Nigerian to believe in the reality of demons. They have experienced occult powers, so when they become Christians they have no problem discerning the spiritual realm or working miracles by faith in Jesus. That's why God is sending many of them today to Europe and the United States—to help deliver us from the intellectualism that prevents us from understanding the supernatural realm.
Nigeria's church is not perfect, but I can't help noticing that the baton of Christian leadership is being passed to our African brethren. I pray we will receive them with open arms.

(14) Year of Prayer for North Korea

SOUTH KOREAN CHURCH CALLS FOR YEAR OF PRAYER FOR NORTH KOREA IN 2007

On the centenary day of the Pyongyang Great Revival, the South Korean

Church proclaimed an international Year of Prayer for North Korea in

2007.  The proclamation states 'As we mark this centenary day of the

outbreak of the 1907 Pyongyang Great Revival, we desire to see love,

freedom and peace restored in Korea. We thus proclaim 2007 as a Year of

Prayer for North Korea and call the global Church and Christians

worldwide to join the South Korean Church in actively praying for North

Korea this year.'

A new website address was launched as a vehicle for prayer for North

Korea. The site at www.pfnk.org carries information and resources to

inform and equip Christians everywhere to pray for North Korea and its

people.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide's International Advocate, Elizabeth

Batha, said 'The contrast between the spiritual climate in North Korea

today and one hundred years ago could not be starker.  Pyongyang has

moved from being a city known throughout the Christian world as 'the

Jerusalem of the East' to now being the capital of probably the most

brutal suppressor of Christianity. The population is subject to

enforced idolatry of the political leadership, there is a ruthless ban

on the gospel and Christians are brutally persecuted, imprisoned and

executed.  All these reasons make it imperative that the worldwide

Church recognises North Korea as a top prayer priority and stands in

the gap to intercede for these most beleagured of people'.

(15) Uncloaking God’s Glory

[Editors note: This is a timely and possibly instructive word in light of our recent tornadoes]

Jon Hamill: "2007: Uncloaking God's Glory--Watch for a Year of Storms, Sudden Illumination, and a 'Gray Awakening'"

"The Lord is going to light up many gray areas with His brilliance, bringing a breakthrough of clarity and revelatory understanding that will help us set our course for victory."

You can often "feel a storm" before you see it. There's a tangible tension in the atmosphere, a barely perceptible alarm even in the stillness before it comes. This inner tension is often what causes us to look out the window and see the clouds on the horizon.

The Lord alerts us to "storms in the spirit" in much the same manner. In a way unique to each individual, the Holy Spirit awakens us to an inner tension that quietly, yet incessantly compels a response. Like many of you, my wife Jolene and I have learned to heed this inner alarm to "go to the window," see what the Holy Spirit is saying, and pray accordingly.

Storm Warning: A Vision of Gray

I felt none of this during a recent early morning prayer time. Or, better said, I ignored the burden I was sensing. I wasn't really praying; more like dozing prayerfully, when the Lord gave me a vision of a dark tornado hitting the ground, which appeared to be at twilight. There were no colors in either the sky or ground, only varying shades of dark gray. The whirlwind itself seemed to blend in with the gray. Then I saw gray, translucent beings stepping out of the whirlwind. They seemed to hit the ground running, dispersing and blending into the background's various shades of gray.

Finally, seemingly at once, the Lord "uncloaked" these angels, and the areas where they were assigned began to light up with the brilliant clarity of His glory. It would be trite to say that the gray areas became black and white. More accurately, the light from these angels brought rich, brilliant color and contrast where only gray was seen before.

The image here was painted by prophetic artist Kevin Moffatt. Kevin had started the work just before I ministered, and it was amazing to see his vision come to life as I began ministering on "The Gray Awakening." To me, this image represents everything the word speaks about--most of all, the uncloaking of God's glory and wonder from the background of the grays.

A Real Tornado Strikes

Before exploring further the meaning of this vision, let me again emphasize that I missed the alarm that preceded it, and then ignored the nagging burden that accompanied it. When I briefly shared the vision with our prayer team on Tuesday, I interpreted it only according to the revelatory understanding about bringing clarity to gray areas.

What I didn't understand is that God was also trying to warn of imminent disaster elsewhere in our nation. Later on Tuesday, news outlets began to report on an outbreak of tornadoes across the south. Two days after this vision, a tornado struck in the pre-dawn hours near Wilmington, North Carolina. At least nine people died, and many more were injured. There was almost no warning.

I'm sure many other intercessors were also alerted by the Lord to pray before, during, and after the tragedy. And as we pray, He promises to "work all things together for good." (Romans 8:28)

Real-Time Prophetic: Praying Through

"We must become responsible to pray beyond the initial release of insight from the Lord...."

But for me, a question lingered, "Could this devastating twister have been stopped, or at least lessened, through more effective prayer?"

God is now giving what I like to call "real-time prophetic insight," where He is attempting to alert us of situations and events needing His intervention. He is alerting His people to "go to the window and watch" because many storms are on the horizon. More calamities are ahead. Their impact can be lessened, and ultimately good can come forth. As we watch with the Lord, He can turn darkness into light before us! (Isaiah 42:16)

Take your visions and prophetic impressions seriously. Seek Holy Spirit to better understand how they may relate to actual events as well as revelatory principles. On my part, I stopped praying when I thought I had the interpretation, even though the burden in my spirit had not yet lifted.

This was a hard lesson to learn. We must become responsible to pray beyond the initial release of insight from the Lord where our soul is satisfied, to the point of breakthrough where His burden is satisfied.

Guarding against calamity this year will also mean watching with the Lord corporately during the early morning hours. Research by Chuck Pierce has defined the Biblical morning watch as occurring from 3:00 am-6:00 am. Let's watch with our Bridegroom from region to region "until the day breaks and the shadows flee away!"

Assignment: Light the Grays

The word the Lord gave me the morning of the vision is that He is assigning His angels to the gray areas of our lives, our churches, even our nation. By this, the Lord is going to light up many gray areas with His brilliance, bringing a breakthrough of clarity and revelatory understanding that will help us set our course for victory.

Many recently have been disillusioned after crying out in prayer, only to find that all is still gray. I urge you--do not despair. Angels of the Lord have indeed been dispatched to bring breakthrough, and their initial assignment has been to blend into the background, moving in stealth. However, they are about to be uncloaked. Exposure is coming.

In Gideon's day, oppression was broken off of a nation through a midnight battle where a myriad of torches suddenly became "uncloaked" across a barren hillside (Judges 7:16-20). Many warriors, including Gideon at first, had previously assumed that the Lord had shown up a little too late to bring deliverance to a nation. History records He was right on time!

Much later in Israel's history, the nation had again plunged into oppression and darkness. For three hundred years, Israel perished under a void of the prophetic word of God. Then suddenly the spell was broken. The darkness of this night was pierced through by an angelic choir on another hillside, announcing to shepherds the birth of Messiah (Luke 2:10-14).

Stealth Birthing

"The legacy you have been laboring for is bigger than you know, and it is about to be birthed in the earth."

Look at Heaven's preparation for this moment. Most of the Lord's work was done in stealth. For almost ten months, the King of Glory had been hidden away, growing as a human embryo in Mary's womb. Then when the time of travail finally came, Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable--most likely a cave!

For more than 50 years before Christ's birth, the prophetess Anna had been secluded in the Temple, travailing for the Child through fasting and prayer. Maybe at first she was like you and I thinking that this quickening to pray for revival and visitation would be met with breakthrough within the hour. But by the time Jesus Christ was born, this "mother of Israel" had truly become a "gray angel!"

Prophetically, I hear the Lord encouraging many "gray angels" in this period of history, "Don't stop praying now!" The legacy you have been laboring for is bigger than you know, and it is about to be birthed in the earth.

And when you experience His suddenlies this year, know that they have been in preparation for a long time. The brilliance of His Spirit will shine on many gray areas, bringing them to full color and full clarity. Please note, though, that as these areas become exposed, we are responsible to steward the revelation He gives us.

As the Lord begins to shine His light on gray areas this year, know that family restoration is very much on His heart. Be vulnerable to God's love, and you will see His door open for you.

The Gray Awakening and Nursing Home Revivals

This brings us to some of the best news of the day. Truly, many of God's gray angels are about to be uncloaked--and will soon turn the world upside down.

We've heard of "Great Awakenings," and God is also bringing a "Gray Awakening," in which senior citizens across the globe will be reborn and revitalized in the river of God's love and life. A word to the nations--get ready for nursing home revivals, because they are coming!

Just like with Mary's cave and Anna's temple, God is going to turn many nursing homes into birthing clinics. Honor, blessing, and joy will overtake despair. Mantles will be passed, forgiveness will be released, and generational healing will break forth. In fact, you will see the realm of the miraculous consistently within many of these "gray walls" as pools of supernatural healing are opened.

For those who feel like they've been "put out to pasture," the Lord's eyes are truly on you now. Many of you are going to retire from your retirement--not out of necessity, but out of beckoning from God. You didn't miss your calling and destiny, in fact, you and God are both right on time!

Just as Moses imparted wisdom to his team of elders, so God wants you to impart your legacy in Him--what you lived for, and gave your life for to the children He has entrusted to you. Therefore this year, the Lord is releasing new understanding about passing the sacred torch of apostolic legacy to the next generation.

The Lord first spoke to me about "Nursing Home Revivals" while I was prophesying last February to a couple from Finland. And ever since then, I've really sensed this move of God is truly international in scope, and it is above all else a worship and prayer movement.

We've been looking for the "new sound" to emerge from youth garage bands, but many new songs from Heaven are about to be released through worship bands in senior centers as well. Houses of prayer will emerge. Watch for lines outside the door. I hear the Lord saying, "LET THE MEETINGS BEGIN!"
