PRAY   CENTRAL   FLORIDA

Dear Fellow Prayer Warrior,                                                                           April, 2007

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress' proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May. The 56th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 3, 2007. The theme for this year is "America, Unite in Prayer" and is based on II Chronicles 7:14 which states: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." The 2007 Honorary Chairman, Dr. Charles R. Swindoll, has written a prayer for our nation that you can see, along with many other resources, at the National Day of Prayer web site - www.ndptf.org.

Chuck Urrutia was born and raised in a relatively middle class family in San Antonio, Texas. His Dad was a charismatic person but had a drinking problem that began at a very young age. Because of that problem, the family experienced much stress and very difficult times. This had a serious impact on young Chuck and the rest of the family. The family was Catholic and attended the local church. As a young child, Chuck heard something from the pulpit that drove him away from church. For years he stayed away from church until just before he met his wife to be, Patricia Cox. After marrying and a spiritual awakening, the old pain and fears returned and almost brought Chuck’s marriage to destruction. This is a testimony of healing and God’s faithfulness. Chuck will share this testimony for your encouragement – God always cares and continues to heal us so that we can better serve him and enjoy His continued presence in our lives.

Greeting's Seed Sowers,

An Interesting Quiz:

How would you respond in these situations?

1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th. They’re living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he’s upset. Would you recommend abortion?

In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century. In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven. In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer. If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!

God is the author of life, and He has given every single individual supreme value. Each life—whether inside or outside the womb—should therefore be valued by us. God knows the plans He has for each individual and has written in His book all the days ordained for us before one of them came to be. When we presume to know better than God who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are guilty of idolatry.

Educate yourself and learn the facts

Then

Do something about it!!!!!

1. Contact us and learn how you can become a Sidewalk Counselor or start a Counseling team in your area(This is our current, Greatest Need, Spanish Speakers needed as well)

2. Counsel online from your home.

3. Contact the clinic weekly and find out the abortion schedule so we can inform the Sidewalk Counsler's to be there on that day.

4. Commit to pray for those on the front-lines and that God would raise up more laborors in this mission field.

5. Spread the word about www.ABORT73.com  by emailing the web address to those you know or by purchasing and wearing their products that have the web address on it.

Testimony:  I have seen many inocent lives saved, by merely being an active Christian praying presence standing on the sidewalks in front of the clinic's.  Many times, cars would pull up to the clinic and see the Christian's banded together in prayer and would then drive on by as we let our light shine.

(7) “Definite Improvement” in Iraq

WAR IN IRAQ

"DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT" NOTED IN SECURITY OF BAGHDAD

Baghdad curfew eased as new security plan shows preliminary signs of success

Ask the Lord to bring revelation, dreams and visions to Muslims worldwide of Isa (Jesus) – to save them and mark them with His Kingdom seal.

"Iraq’s government announced that the security situation in Baghdad has improved in recent weeks, enough that the city's curfew can be relaxed. Until now, the curfew has been 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Now, Baghdad residents will be allowed on the street until 10:00 p.m.” said ABC’s Charles Gibson.

ABC's Terry McCarthy added, "Children have come out to play again. Shoppers are back in markets. A few devout souls even venture past the barbed wire to pray. Baghdad is still rocked by car bombs every day. But right in the center of the city, a small area of relative calm is starting to grow, thanks to stepped up U.S. Patrols and increased Iraqi checkpoints."

American and Iraqi soldiers yesterday killed six terrorists and captured another 41 insurgents and death-squad suspects in operations in Baghdad and outside Fallujah, military officials said. The raids were part of the ongoing enormous effort by U.S. and Iraqi security forces to break the backs of the various armed groups warring in Iraq (ABC, Washington Times, 4/3/07)

(8) Prayer Needed for Iraq

PRAYER FOR IRAQ AND ITS NEIGHBORS

A Renewed Call to Prayer, March 25-May 3,
from the C. S. Lewis Society, Trinity College,
and Intercessors for America

Diligent daily prayer for Iraq needs to explode across the world.

Our hearts’ fervent prayer arises along five points:

(1) That Iraq not descend deeper and deeper into violence.
(2) That the perpetrators of daily violence and evil be caught and brought to justice.
(3) That peace, righteousness, and stability may spread throughout this land.
(4) That the redemption of the people of Iraq— their transformation by Christ--may accelerate.
(5) To sum up: We pray for a stable environment in which Christ’s body might flourish. The future of the Middle East pivots on what happens in Iraq. How greatly it needs our prayers!

(9) Genocide in Darfur, Sudan

To call attention to the escalating violence and the continued failure of the international community to adequately respond to this crisis, activists across the world have come together to plan "Global Days for Darfur". This week of rallies, marches and vigils will run from April 23rd to April 30th and will highlight that "time is running out" for the people of Darfur.

Please support your fellow activists in speaking out for the people of Darfur by joining an event in your area. If there are currently no activities planned in your community, we hope you will consider starting your own event during this important week.

SUDAN GOVERNMENT 'PARALYZING' AID TO DARFUR

The aid operation is the biggest of its kind in the world, with about two million people in Darfur's camps fully dependent on aid agencies for food. Aid workers are facing numerous visa and access restrictions from Sudan's government agencies and security forces.

Click here to view a multimedia report about the crisis

Pray for Sudan’s President, Omar al- Bashir, his cabinet and all in authority; may he yield to the pressure brought on by the international community; may a spirit of cooperation sweep through his government and the leaders and warlords fighting throughout the country.

Pray for the safety of Sudanese Christians and their families; pray that they would come together in unity and prayer for the end to bloodshed and the beginning of righteous and just governance.

Pray for the many peace delegations and Christian organizations who are investing thier influence, time and finances to bring an end to this genocide.

SAVE DARFUR EFFORTS PEAK AS AFRICAN CRISIS CONTINUES

Student and human-rights activists are stepping up their grassroots efforts to raise awareness about the continued violence in Darfur, which has been labeled the first genocide of the 21st century.

Last week, New York University student groups held a series of events titled “One Week for Darfur.” The events began with a candlelight vigil in Washington Square Park on Monday night. There was a panel discussion, featuring former Sudanese slave Simon Deng and a representative from Amnesty International. And there was a screening of the documentary “Screamers,” which explores why genocide keeps occurring. The film features members of the band System of a Down, who themselves are all grandchildren of genocide survivors.

Last Wednesday, students received a free dessert in exchange for calling their senator or congress-member on the Darfur issue. The callers were asked to request strengthening support to African Union troops, currently in charge of peacekeeping in the region. They also asked the politicians to push for deployment of UN peacekeeping forces. And they advocated for increasing humanitarian aid, as well as establishing the area as a no- fly zone to prevent future aerial attacks. (TheVillager.com, 4/4/07)

"I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;

NEGROPONTE TO PRESS FOR LARGER
DARFUR FORCE DURING SUDAN TRIP

United Nations: Darfur is world’s worst humanitarian crisis

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte will press the Sudanese government to allow an enlarged peacekeeping force to be deployed in Darfur when he visits the African nation next week, the State Department said.

A joint force of African Union and United Nations peacekeepers is ``fundamental to providing security and greater stability'' in the region, department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters in Washington yesterday. Negroponte will encourage the government to ``give the green light'' to their deployment.

The UN says the four-year-old conflict in Darfur has killed at least 200,000 people and describes it as the world's worst humanitarian crisis. It envisages a hybrid force of AU and UN soldiers in the country to help stop fighting between government troops and rebels and protect civilians.

Negroponte will travel to Sudan, Chad, Libya and Mauritania between April 11 and 19 and focus on resolving the crisis in Darfur, McCormack said. Officials from the UN, AU and Sudanese government meet in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on April 9 to discuss bolstering the size of the peacekeeping force, the UN said in a statement yesterday.

The UN is currently providing a $21 million ``light'' support package for the 7,000-member AU force, including military officers and equipment such as night-vision goggles and generators. It wants to deploy an additional 2,500 UN soldiers as a next step as it builds toward a joint force of 20,000 peacekeepers.

The conflict in Darfur started in February 2003 when rebels demanding a greater share of Sudan's political power and wealth began attacking the government. The authorities in Khartoum responded by dispatching military forces and arming militias, commonly known as the Janjaweed, to attack areas accused of supporting the rebels. (Bloomberg, 4/6/07)
