Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ. I think we can all agree that our nation is in dire need of
prayer right now. Please see below for a call to prayer regarding the health
care overhaul. Another call to prayer is sponsored by the Awakening America
Alliance and is called Cry Out America (from Joel 1:14). On September 11th
at noon (local time) people will gather at many courthouses across the nation
to pray for a fresh Christ awakening in their local community and in our
nation. As of this writing there is a coordinator for Orange
County (Alfred Sanchez – 407-620-9782), Lake County (Bryan Scott - 352-255-5249)
and Osceola County (Nelly Rivera – 407-952-8770),
but not yet one for Seminole County. See their web site for more information including the

or call 888-9-AWAKE-US. If there is still not one for Seminole County (and you
can’t do it) you can join Pray Central Florida in the Seminole County jail at
12:00 for a Cry Out America prayer meeting with about
50 inmates. Contact George Kern at least a week in advance for security
clearance information.
Your
tax dollars funding infanticide – it will happen unless God supernaturally
stops it - pray!
The following is from Intercessors for America. Pray
that all moves toward tax-payer funded abortion via any "health care"
legislation be exposed and thwarted. Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress are pushing
hard to "reform" health care.
All of the legislation being drafted before the August recess included
language that would provide for taxpayer funding of abortion by mandating
abortion coverage in the "public" (government run) version of health
insurance. Language is also in the pending drafts by which doctors and nurses
would lose their "conscience protections" that keep them from being
forced to provide abortion services, or risk losing their jobs. Special
interest groups are even demanding that Congress include mandatory coverage for
sex-change operations and related health services! The "public"
(government run) version of health insurance would provide free health care to
illegal aliens, but would result in the rationing of care for elderly and
disabled American citizens in order to save money. Democratic members defeated an amendment that
would have expressly banned the rationing of care. Download a one-page

media coverage of the healthcare reform legislation Congress is currently
considering? You may have many concerns about such a sweeping reform plan from
our government, but you may not have heard about the most dangerous part of the
plan in terms of the Sanctity of Life.

The plan currently before
Congress will mandate taxpayer-funded abortion coverage. Our analysts here at
Focus on the Family are convinced that the healthcare reform plan -- as
currently written -- would result in the largest expansion of abortion since Roe
v. Wade.

This healthcare reform
plan would dramatically increase the number of taxpayer-funded abortions and
even mandate abortion coverage by private insurance plans. Even though two
recent polls have found that between 63% and 71% of Americans support laws that
protect tax dollars from being used to fund abortion, so far, Congress has
defeated all efforts to ensure abortion coverage is not included in the reform
plan. Sadly, we know that increased availability and funding will lead to an
increase in the number of abortions.

does not protect the rights of conscience for medical professionals who would
choose not to participate in or perform abortions. We have prepared a special
